  • Dried Red Chilli

  • Boneless Boiled & Shredded Chicken
    200 g
  • Boiled Noodles
    300 g
  • Refined Oil
    2 tsp
  • Chilli Oil
    1 tsp
  • Sunrise Chow Mix Masala
    1 tsp
  • Salt

Sunrise tip:- If you want your noodles to get that dark colour, then you can add in a teaspoon of Dark Soy Sauce.

 

How to Prep Chicken Hakka Noodles

Everything is in the prep when it comes to cooking Chinese Food. Remember not to complicate things.

The Vegetables

Step 1
Thinly slice the bell peppers into long strips.
Step 2
Shred the cabbage finely.
Step 3
Chop the spring onions.
Step 4
Mince the garlic cloves finely.
Step 5
Ensure that all sliced vegetables are roughly the same size. This will allow them to cook evenly and equally.

Sunrise tip:- Take your time with the chopping; it is the most crucial part of the dish.

The Chicken

Step 1
Boil the boneless chicken until fully cooked and tender.
Step 2
Shred the boiled chicken into fine pieces.

Sunrise tip: You can also add some fish sauce. Remember that light soy is salty, so be careful with the salt.

The Noodles

Step 1
Boil the noodles following the instructions on the packet
Step 2
Once desired softness is reached, transfer noodles to cold water to prevent overcooking
Step 3
Dry the noodles and drizzle 1 tsp of oil to prevent the noodles from sticking to each other.

How to Cook Chicken Hakka Noodles

Step 1
Heat around 2 teaspoons of refined oil and add 2 teaspoons chopped garlic
Step 2
Add 1 dried red chilli, shredded red and green cabbage, chopped spring onion, and sliced the bell peppers.
Step 3
Saute the vegetables for a few minutes
Step 4
Add the shredded chicken and add 1 teaspoon Sunrise Chow Mix Masala
Step 5
Add 1 Teaspoon Chilli Oil and salt as per taste
Step 6
Add the boiled noodles and cook for few minutes
Step 7
Take it off the heat and serve hot.

Sunrise tip: You eat these noodles without any sides, you can add chilli or dark soya sauce.
