Sunrise tip: Chaat masala is the secret weapon in this sandwich filling - a tangy, spicy, salty spice blend that instantly elevates any chaat or snack. Look for it in Indian grocery stores or online.

Steps

Step 1: Prepare the veggie masala

Time: 6-7 minutes

Heat refined oil in a pan or kadhai. Add chopped onions and chopped ginger and fry for 2-3 minutes.

Add carrots, green peas, chopped capsicum and cook for 2-3 minutes.

Step 2: Add the spices

Time: 3 minutes

To the cooked veggie masala, add Sunrise Turmeric powder, Sunrise Red Chilli powder, chopped green chilli, and chopped tomato, and cook for 2-3 minutes.

Step 3: Add the mashed potatoes

Time: 7-8 minutes

Add the cooked veggies and spice masala to the mashed potatoes and cook for 2-3 minutes until everything is mixed properly.

Add the Sunrise Aloo Dum Masala, Sunrise Chaat Masala and chopped coriander leaves to the cooked potato filling. Cook for 2-3 minutes.

Take out the masala filling on a plate and keep it aside.

Step 4: Assemble the sandwiches

Time: 5 minutes

Butter one side of each bread slice. Divide the potato filling between the two slices and spread it evenly. Top with the remaining buttered bread slices.

Step 5: Grill the sandwiches

Time: 5 minutes

Heat the griller. Place the sandwiches in it for 3 minutes until crisp and golden brown on both sides

Step 6: Slice and serve

Time: 2 minutes

Transfer the grilled sandwiches to a chopping board. Let them rest for a minute, then slice each sandwich into two triangles or four squares. Serve immediately with extra green chutney or tomato ketchup.
