About Chicken Honey Mustard Sandwich


The classic chicken sandwich gets a zingy makeover in this recipe, with succulent chicken coated in a piquant honey mustard marinade. This sandwich in the soft bread, is a delightfully messy, finger-licking treat. These sandwiches are sure to become a family

 

Ingredients

  • Sunrise Mustard Powder

    20 g
  • Refined Oil

    10 ml
  • Chicken (boneless)

    200 g
  • Salt to taste

  • Black Pepper (crushed)

    10 g
  • Honey

    20 ml
  • Mayonnaise

    100 g
  • Cheese (sliced)

    4 slices
  • Sandwich Bread

    4 slices
  • Lukewarm water

    50 ml

Sunrise tip: For an extra kick of flavour, add a dash of hot sauce to the honey mustard marinade.


Steps

Step 1: Cook the Chicken

Time: 10 minutes

Heat 10 ml of oil in a pan over medium heat. Add chicken pieces and cook for about 2-3 minutes per side.

Add salt and crushed pepper and cook for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.

Once cooked, place them in a bowl and keep them aside to cool down.


Step 2: Prepare the Mustard Slurry

Time: 10 minutes

In another bowl, combine the Sunrise Mustard Powder and salt with lukewarm water. Mix it evenly until it becomes a slurry.

Keep it for 10-15 minutes before use.


Step 3: Marinate the Chicken

Time: 5 minutes

Take out the cooled chicken mixture bowl, add honey, the previously prepared mustard slurry and mayonnaise. Mix well.

Once mixed properly, keep it aside.


Step 4: Assemble the Sandwiches

Time: 5 minutes

Take a slice of sandwich bread and spread a layer of butter on it. Place a slice of cheese over the buttered bread, then evenly spread the marinated chicken on top.

Add another slice of cheese over the chicken to seal in the filling. Finally, place a second slice of bread on top to complete the sandwich.

Repeat to make another sandwich.


Step 5: Grill & Serve the Sandwiches

Time: 10 minutes

Grease the outer part of the sandwich with butter and place it in the griller for 3 minutes.

Once grilled, cut it into 4 triangles, and serve immediately on the serving platter with tomato sauce. Enjoy your messy, zesty sandwiches!
